Cantina Salizzoni was founded in 1986 from the passion of Valter Salizzoni for cultivating the land and producing wines capable of expressing the territory through authenticity and character. From grapes grown in the estate-owned vineyards come evocative, unique, and deeply distinctive wines — faithful expressions of the remarkable territory of Alta Vallagarina, an area long recognized for its exceptional viticultural vocation. The winery is located in the historic center of Calliano, in the heart of the so-called vineyard basin of the Vallagarina: a natural amphitheater enclosed between the imposing Castel Beseno and the ancient fortresses that once defended Rovereto. A unique historical and landscape setting that plays a fundamental role in shaping the personality of Salizzoni wines. The cellar was created inside the historic Palazzo Valentini, an elegant 18th-century noble residence. As early as the late nineteenth century, renowned wines were already being produced within these walls, including the famous “Champagne Valentini,” a testament to a long-standing winemaking tradition. Today, Palazzo Valentini hosts the vinification and aging processes, combining respect for history with a contemporary vision of wine. Cantina Salizzoni therefore represents a perfect balance of tradition, territory, and passion, creating wines that tell the story of Vallagarina with authenticity and a profound connection to their roots.
