Azienda Agricola Maggi Francesco was founded around the 1940s in the heart of Oltrepò Pavese, a territory where vine growing is deeply rooted in local culture and history. From the very beginning, the Maggi family chose to preserve tradition, rural knowledge, and the authentic character of their hills, passionately carrying forward a business that remains strongly family-run to this day. Work in the vineyard and cellar is guided by a constant desire for improvement, which over the years has allowed the winery to steadily raise the quality of its wines without ever losing sight of its main objective: producing high-quality wines that are a sincere expression of the territory. For the Maggi family, wine is the result of a balance between man and nature. Climatic conditions play a fundamental role, making every harvest unique and different from the previous one in both quantity and character. For this reason, an authentic wine should not always be identical, but should instead tell the story of the vintage, the harvest, and the work carried out in the vineyard, while respecting the true and genuine principles of viticulture. Today, Oltrepò Pavese is considered one of Italy’s most fascinating agricultural regions and, thanks to the commitment of producers such as Azienda Agricola Maggi Francesco, it continues to grow in prestige, importance, and recognition. At the center of this territory lies Canneto Pavese, where vine cultivation for winemaking has been a tradition for centuries. Here, across approximately 500 hectares of vineyards, red grape varieties dominate, while white grape varieties are cultivated in the higher hillside areas. It is within this unique setting that the wines of Azienda Agricola Maggi Francesco are born: wines that speak of the land, the seasons, and passion, capable of telling the story of Oltrepò Pavese in every glass.
