Monte Orfano, in the heart of Franciacorta, Barbalonga was born from a dream nurtured over time. An authentic and harmonious place, where the land still preserves the silence, memory, and strength of tradition. The story began in 1988, when an engineer-architect with a long beard purchased a small plot of land. What started as a simple intuition gradually became a life project: transforming uncultivated soil into a vineyard capable of expressing the territory through wine. After years of work, care, and patience, the first harvest arrived in 2011. Every grape cluster was selected by hand, with respect and dedication. It was a moment filled with hope, when the dream finally began to take tangible shape. Over time, Barbalonga grew. The acquisition of a second vineyard made it possible to experiment with new cuvées, while always remaining faithful to traditional methods and to the identity of Franciacorta. Today, Barbalonga is a wine born from the land and from the character of those who work it: a passion for viticulture, attention to detail, and a deep love for the territory. An honest, artisanal wine that tells a story of patience, vision, and authenticity. Barbalonga is not just a wine. It is the dream of a lifetime, brought to life one glass at a time.
