In the heart of Oltrepò Pavese, one of Italy’s most renowned wine-growing regions, Castello di Cigognola was born: an estate that brings together history, territory, and winemaking excellence. From its striking 13th-century castle, a heritage site of the FAI, the estate overlooks the rolling hills of the Scuropasso Valley. The vineyards stretch between 300 and 350 meters above sea level on clay-rich, mineral soils, ideal for varieties such as Pinot Noir, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. Here, thanks to favorable climatic conditions and a sustainable approach, wines of great elegance, structure, and identity are produced. With an annual production of around 150,000 bottles, Castello di Cigognola is now considered one of the leading wineries of Oltrepò Pavese. Its refined and authentic wines express the character of the territory at its finest, with Pinot Noir as the undisputed star.
